What a beautiful day in Upstate South Carolina!!  The sunrise was simply amazing this morning.  I am constantly in awe of the artistry of the heavens.   I am blessed to have such wonderful views of the skies!!  The thing is, most people will paint a clear morning's sunrise in the following colors in this order, yellow on the horizon, red and then blue.   I'll admit, it's easier this way and no one wants a green sky from overblending the blue and yellow if they are next to each other.    But folks, when I look out at a clear sky sunrise, I see red at the horizon (possibly with some lavender) then yellow graduating to the blue.   When I look at the merging of the yellow to the blue in a sky with no clouds, there IS a faint hint of green in the sky.  So from now on, I will be painting true to Mother Nature's sunrises and being very careful not to over blend.
